How does Visco elastic foam help you be more comfortable?

Visco elastic foam is designed to respond to heat, moulding itself to your shape and thereby creating a larger surface area spreading your weight and relieving pressure points. By simply adding a Visco elastic topper to your existing mattress you would greatly enhance your comfort. However when you look at a mattress made to fully use the benefits of Visco elastic foam you will see the difference.

Standard Construction

Our standard mattress construction consits of a 2" British Vita 40g Visco elastic memory foam with a lower layer of Reeflex 270F supporting foam. Both layers are guaranteed for 10 years. Our super luxury cover zipped on 3 sides and fully machine washable is also included absolutely free. Quality and value as standard.

Superior Construction

To build your superior mattress we start with a top layer of Visco elastic foam between 2 and 3 inches thick which is layed on to a middle layer of contour moulded Reflex foam.

This layer (shaped rather like an egg box) has two main uses. Firstly it is very absorbent of weight and due to it's construction spreads pressure to a greater extent than flat foam. Secondly it allows air to pass between the contours of the moulded surface, which helps with temperature control and importantly allows for a quicker recovery rate of the foam by increasing airflow.

The bottom layer is again bonded to the middle section and is made of Reflex foam. This layer can be made of many differing levels of firmness allowing us to tailor the mattress to your weight or in the case of a double bed, split into two allowing different levels of firmness for you and your partner. We do not charge extra for this. This is why it is important that we know your weight (honesty is beneficial to your sleep).

Why do we go on and on about Reflex?

Quite simply the company that produces Reflex is called Vitafoam. They are one of the leading manufacturers producing their foam in England. Their trademark Reflex foam carries a full ten-year guarantee (this is the only foam that we know of that does). They also make Reflex conform to all of the health and safety fire and regulations (in fact they exceed them in some areas). In our opinion they produce the finest foam available.

How do I decide what will be best for me?

When you speak to us or contact us by email we will ask your weight which will allow us to judge the correct bottom layer for construction. The thickness of the foam depends on what height you would like your bed to be (between 20" and 22" is regarded as standard). The other factor is again comfort, the 8" mattress comes with 3" Visco elastic foam (as opposed to 2" in the smaller sizes) which is more comfortable but also slightly more expensive.

How do I order / pay for /and receive my mattress?

Once we have confirmed your requirements we will ask you for payment by credit or debit card. We will send you confirmation of your order together with acknowledgement of payment. We will confirm when your goods are likely to be made and dispatched (normally 5-7 days) and the required delivery address. Our carriers TNT will then deliver to your door.
